Hmm..sebelomnya mohon perkenalkan saya newbie disini lagi pengen pindah ke linux. Sempat install tapi mentok di masalah driver Sis Mirage nya.. Udah ngubek-ngubek ke semua forum mau lokal maupun international tapi tetep ajah blom menghasilkan result yang memuaskan...

Sampe terkahir saya uninstall tadi, masih dengan terpaksa memakai driver Vesa untuk resolusi 1024x768

Nah itu dah speknya... pertanyaan nyaaa

1. Chipset saya itu sama gk dengan driver chipset yang beredar di dunia ubuntu? soalnya kebanyakan mereka SIS 671

2. Masalah monitor resolusi saya yg 1366x768, sedangkan bnyk banget orang yg bisa install berhasil di 1280x800, ada di salah satu thrad di ubuntuforum ya kalo gak salah yg berhasil install driver sampai resolusi 1366x768 Merk Asus KD berapa gituh... Nah pas di coba pakai hasil compile punya dia malah jadi flickering.

3. Masalah sound juga kayanya kualitasnya kurang terlalu mantep di ubuntu, pas cek drivernya kayanya pake driver generic deh dia

hmm... ya kira2 itu dulu dh ya... Saya mohon para master untuk bantuannya.. hadiahnya nanti saya kirimin CD Maverick dah hehehehe

Untuk display driver sis....
Ak sarankan pake PcLinux0S 2010/ mandriva 2010...
dr pngalaman pake linux dari slackware, ubuntu, opensuse, Pclinux....untuk display vga sis yg optimal pake pclinux...
untuk ubuntu, saya hnya bisa pake jaunty+karmic kalo di atasny itu g prnah optimal...
sdngkan untuk slackware...saya pake versi 13 ke atas baru optimal....
Untuk opensuse, smpe skrng blum menemukan setting yg pas....
Untuk pclinuxOS 2010/mandriva.. 2010 langsung optimal tanpa setting laenny lagi...

Mandriva 2010 waktu masuk Booting ke Displaynya langsung flickering trus masuk text mode gk bisa install bro... saya udah coba ituh :(.

PCLinuxOS itu atasannya Klixs ya? Dia juga cuma bisa tampilin resolusi sampe 1024x768 doank..

Kalau jaunty bisa optimal gak? kalau bisa saya mau instalasi sekarang nih :) kebetulan ready jaunty/koala/lucid and maverick hehehe

ubuntu lucid 10.04 dan keturunannya....yang berhasil install di punayku serta konfigurasi vga sis 671 berkerja dg baik cuma LINUXMINT 9 "isadora"

g tau knapa ubuntu /kubuntu lucid g mau di install di punyaku....


ini driver buat sis 671 di Linuxmint 9.....
