Proses "Applying Changes" di "Ubuntu Software Center" HANG!!

Salam kenal bro, ane baru dimari dan newbie di linux :grin:
sesuai judul, ane mau tanya tentang Proses "Applying Changes" di "Ubuntu Software Center (USC)", yaitu proses setelah download aplikasi di USC.
itu di kompie ane knapa kadang gak jalan yak bro?, contohnya pas ane abis instal gstreamer sama flash plugin, selesai proses download langsung Applying Changes-nya sampai berbulan-bulan *lebay* dan gak selesai-selesai.
ada yang punya solusinya gak? apa PC ane ato apanya yang salah?
ato gak, gimaana si cara kill proses itu? ato kill USC-nya sekalian? (semacem task manager di "jendela").

ane pernah kek gitu broo.. caranya cuma update n install update di update manager

update manager itu apaan bro?
